They were out in the trucks last night, spraying against mosquitoes and it is about time. The Zika virus is a very bad thing for pregnant women. I think it is wise to remain indoors at dusk and wear long sleeve shirts or blouses, as the case may be and just don't go out after sunset because the mosquitoes come out right at this time and also in the early morning just at daybreak. For the latest about this recent outbreak of the mosquito born Zika virus, read the article below:
Methodist Health System wants to keep our community informed by providing this resource center to stay up-to-date on all Zika Virus news.

It seems like these people who have traveled out of the country have brought this back with them. Maybe travel abroad should be restricted at this time.

I wish it were that simple, but they tell us that intimate contact is one way the disease is spread and then they bring it back in their blood stream and if an uninfected person gets intimate they get the disease and if an uninfected mosquito bites an infected person it gets passed on from mosquito to person and so on and so forth.

When they spray the city streets with mosquito poison it is the only way to combat them except that many people have too much standing water and don't bother to dump things that have rain water after a storm. It is everyone's civic responsibility to keep standing water down to the bare minimum and use basic common sense when out doors during mosquito season by using mosquito repellent and wear protective long sleeves of cotton made tops to keep the arms covered when out doing yard work.
