Sam Robinson reported the news on Friday the Atlanta Braves who are currently in last place in the National League East Division have sent right handed relief pitcher John Gant, 23 to their AAA minor league team the Gwinnett Braves in exchange for right handed relief pitcher Joel De La Cruz, 26. De La Cruz had been on the Braves roster on April 11, 2016 before he was sent back to Gwinnett the next day. Gant pitched in nine innings giving up seven earned runs in five games pitched for the Atlanta Braves this baseball season. De La Cruz had pitched for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders during the 2014 and 2015 baseball season before he signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves on November 26, 2015. De La Cruz is mostly to make his debut in the Major Leagues with the Braves soon since he will be used as a relief pitcher for the last place team this year.

Sounds like the Braves are shuffling the pitching deck to find somehow who can get outs and not give up runs.
