A report from CBS Boston on Saturday says the Boston Red Sox have activated from the 15 day disabled list right handed starting pitcher Joe Kelly. Kelly had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on April 19, 2016 with an impingment placed him on the shelf. Kelly pitched three games for the Pawtucket Red Sox during his rehabilitation assignment before he was eligible to come off the disabled list on Saturday. The Red Sox to make room for Kelly on the Red Sox 25 man roster have demoted right handed relief pitcher Noe Ramirez to their AAA minor league team the Pawtucket Red Sox since Ramirez has pitched nine and one third innings in relief with no wins and no losses but with an earned run average of 5.79 during the current baseball season. Kelly is the starting pitcher for the Red Sox on Saturday when the Red Sox host the Cleveland Indians at Fenway Park in Boston.

I've been so happy with the Red Sox this season. I haven't been able to get to Fenway in a while, but I'm more than ready to take the drive and see what they're doing in person!

The Sox need to see what Kelly can do because the starting staff has been poor overall despite the team's good start to the season.

His first start versus Cleveland was pretty good since he had a no hitter for several innings on Saturday.
