The prosecutor for the International Criminal Court has stated they have evidence linking the Sudanese government to the Janjaweed Militia who are the ones actually committing the genocide in the Darfur region. The Sudanese government has denied any involvement with the Janjaweed. The prosecutor plans on bringing charges if there is no national prosecution. You can pretty much count on the Sudanese government not prosecuting the perpetrators. This will be a real test of the Court's power to see what happens.
