Need to change the present Mylot home screen UI...

Dont you think the present home screen is too dull to attract users?
Heard that earlier the home screen used to contain the notifications, latest discussions started, discussions started by our friends and all. It would have too easy to navigate to the discussion of our choice or create one. Now you need to Click on Explore, then Recent Activity and all. Also the site is a little buggy,so everything makes the experience a bit slow.
Waiting for ideas from you guys and expecting Mylot to take the best.

Actually, my 'Home Page' is already 'Most Recent Discussions', it depends on what page you bookmark to get here

My lot really needs totally new ui. Opening in mobile browser it gave me impression of not genuine page. The icons, sizes and layout everything could be better. Even though i have only 1 yr of experience as ui designer still i could design better than this.
