Trials and Tribulations of Being a God Mother to Be

One of my best friends is having a baby and I'm learning keeping an expectant mother calm is quite a job. Now I will note – this expectant mother has quite a bit of stress on her hands. She escaped domestic violence and is living in a maternity home (a year long home for expectant mothers who are homeless). Its usually once or twice a week I get the anxious calls from my friend about something, and she is a high risk pregnancy so they are big somethings! Last week she caught the stomach flu and everyone was in a whirlwind for fear she could have the baby 3 months early. Thankfully, she ended up being just fine. Baby's due date is September 10th so we have a ways to go...I'm going to be one exhausted god mother by then!
