Smart Phone Sticker Shock

On Friday, my iPhone died. I was not expecting this. It was just several months old. It was a replacement for my iPhone that died just before I came out of warranty. So the iPhone that died was just a few months old but because I was out of Apple Care, I would have to buy a new one. Be prepared. A new iPhone is now about $600.00. A Samsung Galaxy is about $500.00. The carriers are no longer subsiding the phones and so you now pay the full retail price. Any suggestions as to other carriers or phones where you can still get a reasonable price?

It really startled me that your iphone has such a shout life. May be you can try HUAWEI.

I love that mylot is so international. Thrilled that at least one member is from China. Thanks for answering. I think the iPhone 5 has flaws. I have had a lot of problems with it.
