So many times, I've caught myself crying my eyes out over others' problems or involved myself in my friends ' issues a little more than what was good for me. I sometimes wonder if people who don't care about things too much are in fact the happiest. Maybe there's some solace in staying so detached from everything.

No by detachment I mean, even to ones own problems or problems of our very close loved ones.. I have had a moral dilemma in the recent past as to whether such levels of detachment would be called plain selfish. But i find that I'm happier that way

There is, I am often called aloof and indifferent and I am for a reason. First, I am able to only concentrate or focus on the issues I have in myself and family. Second, I can limit my "meddling" within close friends. As much as I can, I try not to bother myself with other stuff.. And yes, it contributes to my happiness
