Ilish or Hilsa fish is considered the king of all fishes in Kolkata. During monsoons the hilsar or ilish fish come with eggs and oil. The oil has omega fatty acid helpful in regulating cholesterol. The eggs of ilish fish are fried and eaten with rice. The rivers Ganga and Padma in West Bengal and Bangladesh are famous for hilsa or ilish fish. The oil of ilish fish is cooked and eaten with salt and black pepper and rice. Both the oil and the eggs are very delicious just like the taste of the fish .

I don't think I have ever eaten these fish or eggs. They sound interesting though. It sounds like a treat for you but I don't know if I would like it or not.
