Right now I believe the minimum wage is $7.25 -$7.50 depending on the job. I remember it being lower that then when I was a teenager which wasn't to long ago.
When I worked for American Eagle in 2006-2008, 2010 I started our making $7.20 and the hours in work got me any where between $300 to $400 every 2 weeks. I didn't spend that money I was saving it for school. Up to that point I had done refree for soccer and have money saved up already so I was adding to it.
I know when it comes to raising a family this amount doesn't work. My husband works 5 hours every day during the week for $17 and some changed and we get about $400 every two weeks. I earn about the same amount babysitting weekly as my husbands gets for every 2 weeks. If if was just home we would be pushing pennies like we have done in the past many time.

Minimum wage here is like $10 or $10.50 but the cost of living in this area is expensive so can't do much with the pay.

Yeah same here! And even though they're pushing for $15 minimum wage the home rental is just going. Sky rocket and everything will get more expensive @ShyBear88
