A long weekend

Yes, today is Monday, so the weekend ended yesterday for you. Here in Canada, we are celebrating Victoria Day. We still have strong ties with Britain(though mostly symbolic in nature), so we still celebrate some holidays with British ties.
This weekend has been busy. Starting with Friday, since my husband had the day off work. We even made a quick trip over the river.
Saturday was full of cleaning and laundry, as was Sunday. No, it is not all done, but I have made a major dent.
We helped a friend shoot off some fireworks in their backyard last night. The kids enjoyed it for the most part. The little guy didn't like the loud noise. They all slept really well.
Today has been a bit of a lazy day. We did go to the park this morning, and the girls helped with some cleaning this afternoon.
I had hoped to get my garden ready to plant, but the local garden center was not open. Oh well, that can wait. At least it is warm and dry.
That was our weekend in a nutshell. And I am tired just thinking about it all!

Yep. I believe her birthday was in May and we celebrate it on the fourth Monday of May.

Wasn't a long weekend for me. I got to work today. I'm also told they don't count it as one of our stat holidays through my employer. We have some funny rules in this province. Oh well.

That's weird. But I guess we have Family day and it is one of those that the employer has the option of paying stat pay or not.

I've been lazing around today. I'm still recovering from my class reunion Saturday evening. I don't drink but my feet, legs and shoulders ache. I had a headache for awhile too (it was so loud in there). Plus the travel and anxiety from travelling took its toll.

This weekend is out 3 days weekend. I am ready for a long weekend. Although we do have 2 recitals that will cut into the weekend. My girls both dance and one performs Friday and the other performs Saturday. I do love to see them though, they do such a great job.
