Windows 10

We've discussed this before. I said I was reluctant to change over. I hate change but every time I buy a new computer it has a different program on it that I have to learn so I should be able to upgrade to 10. I have, however, heard good and bad about it so I just ignored the "free upgrade" offer I kept receiving.
Well, wouldn't you know they went and downloaded the upgrade without my permission today. Of course it put my computer out of commission for about an hour. I don't see much of a difference as yet. If anyone has any information regarding Windows 10 to share with me that is different I would love to hear it.
Thanks.

It asked me a bunch of questions at the beginning which I totally did not understand except for making Chrome my default browser (which it probably already was). I wish I knew how to make my media player work with zip files. I have 2 I want to download but it's not compatible or something.... before and after I changed to 10.

@patgalca I am clueless. Have to ask my daughter for advice when it comes to technology.

Honestly, I think I may have accidentally accepted it. The problem is that I couldn't stop it once it started. I shut down the computer overnight and it was still running in the background when I logged on this morning. I know I can take it off if I want but I will see how it goes first.

I have been avoiding the download of 10 so far at least.

@patgalca It tried to suck me in this morning but I fought it off again but I suspect I will wake up one morning and it will be loaded.

I don't mind Windows 10 - most of the time! However I've had a couple of problems with the Start menu disappearing. Sometimes restarting the computer fixes that, but on one occasion I had to remove Dropbox and reinstall it. Apparently there's a compatibility issue somewhere.

@patgalca It's a site I use for storing some of my files offline. I first started using it so that I could send photos to members of my bonsai club without having to email large files. Seeing that there are compatibility problems with Windows 10 you're probably better off without it.
