Minions!

"Minions!!!!"
Ever since my 1 year and 10 month old son saw the movie Minions the first time, he would ask... no... demand for it not just once a day, but several times a day. Before he goes sleep, he would cry "Minions!". Right after he wakes up, he would look for laptop and cry "Minions!"
Just this morning, he woke up around 3 A.M., sure enough he cried "Minions!" . But before the movie is finished, he went out of the room and played with his toys.
Around 5 A.M. he came up to bed again. I was watching another movie, but he was not interested. After a few minutes, he said once again "Minions".
So I played it again, and as he was watching it, he asked for his milk bottle and fell asleep after a while.
I think, if I keep repeating this movie, I'd be able to understand and speak Minionese very soon.
I have to ask then, what is your kid's favorite movie?

Hi John! That is so cute! I can't help but thinking about the old days when my "baby" was still a baby. He is an incoming 8th grader now and is taller than me. Anyway, he loved different movies. First, he loved The Land Before Time. Then, after a year or so, his favorite became Jurassic Park. Then, he loved Godzilla. Then, the Spider Man movies. However, when Despicable Me came out, he was too old for it. We still watched it a couple of times, though. It's a nice movie. I love the soundtrack, LOL.

Yeah, usually they outgrow these things. I'm looking for some other movies that he might like and take his mind off the minions.

@wiLLmaH I think he will no longer be screaming for Minions everyday... but FISH! (which he does every time he sees a fish)
BTW, the people in the house now the Last Song Syndrome (LSS) of "Happy Together" heheh

hahaha.. That's why I made a copy on my hard drive. Just for today, I think he watched the movie for 5 times. I really need to show him some other animated movies..Since he loves to look at fishes, I think he will love Finding Nemo and its sequel.

I was thinking "That's ok" until I read again and took noticed of the "nephew" and the he"... hmm... get him exposed to more boy's stuff.

I don't have kids, but most of my friends' kids seem to love Minions. When I go to malls, I always see Minions. They are everywhere. There are so many of them!

@jrlcentral We can't seem to avoid them. I even got a toy from McDonald's Happy Meal! I also bought Minions tic tac (the banana flavored ones).

Yeah, I see a lot of them too, specially in the malls. You'd think that they will all come alive and take over us. LOL

Hehehehe. The thing is, when he watches the movie, it seems that he actually understand the minions. heheh
