Work Does Not Have To Be Boring

Hello mylotters! Just came across to this saying while browsing for sample proposals. I am trying to create a proposal for a data entry job posting on upwork.com and I just came across to this saying on one of the discussion boards on how to create your own proposal. Instead of reading the rest of the discussions, I stopped right there and think about it. Yes maybe work does not have to be boring after all but that is not the current situation at work right now. We used to have fun at the workplace before. I do not know what went wrong but when our manager left us for a better paying job with less responsibilities, the office seems barren and when the new manager steps in, the tensions starts to rise up until now the camaraderie was gone. I can say that with a big YES work right now in here is boring.

Teamwork
Hi Blue Rain! Well, tension puts pressure on people and not everyone knows how to handle pressure well. That is why in such transitions such as what is currently happening in your workplace, it pays for those who can handle pressure well to be more patient and understanding with their co-workers. This will help you strengthen your professional relationship in the workplace. I hope that the new manager will give opportunities for team building and for open communication and healthy relationship in the workplace. That will help employees be more productive and of course, that is great for business.

@angel, That's the biggest problem the manager assigned 2 persons as his point person for each team. Basically the one team we used to have before is split into two. And only hears the side of these persons without even asking the rest of his team. When 2 of my colleagues leave the company just 2 months after he became our manager, he knows something is not right. but still he is not doing anything about it. Even the HR people keeps asking us (since only the 3 of us left here as part of the founding team) what is going on. Two months after another one left and he promised he will do something about it but no actions taken still he even barely show up at office.

@Bluerain25 Oh, that's a really tough situation. I think it is mainly the HR's responsibility to sort this out although your boss plays a major role too. Everyone contributes but it is specifically in their job description especially the HR...

it depends on the job and the amount of money you need to pay the bills. so it all depends on how you are working.

@skysnap, The pay is quite low compare to other companies with the same services we offer but that doesnt matter to us before. what matter to us is that we are a team, we have the same goals and no one tries to put down his/her fellow employee. We are around 13 that time and we even make ourselves fit in a 6 seaters table when we are having lunch.

We need to do work what we are interested in, Then work will never be boring for us. When i used to go out and work, there used to be lot of tension and stress in traveling and the workplace. But now i too find different jobs on the internet and work. When a lot of work is there I work. When there is no work i take rest. So for me right now, work is very interesting because of the new opportunities that come by.

@vicky, I agree with you and yes my field of work is what my interests lies in but i guess it is not only your interests that matters. Workplace aura and the relationships with people you are working with also plays a vital role. As I was saying, with the manager that left us we are one team with the same goals no one tries to put down his/her colleagues until one day that he left and new people came in and join us then some of us also starts to leave.

Work will not be boring if you are feeding a family. I think we need to be optimistic at all times.

@shavkat, I m feeding a family yes I have two kids and providing them their needs alone that is why I am also looking for jobs online where I can earn extra to support them but when you are in the middle of two clashing rocks what comes to your mind is, how i wish I could just stay t home while working so that I cannot witness and feel the tensions at the workplace. I even find myself asking what I am doing here. If you know what I mean.

@Bluerain25 You can try online English tutorial. That's the way I can help you out. I had been doing this for more than 2 years now. It pays higher than regular jobs in my city. The good thing, I am just working at home.
