What is your skincare routine?

While I was shopping in the department store this morning, my eyes caught the bottle of Moringa Oil. I have encountered the term here in Mylot so I got curious as what is this oil all about. I decided to buy it to make an experiment. I normally take good care of my skin by frequent washing and using mild soap on it. Applying moringa oil will be an additional skin care for me in addition to the water therapy I have been doing lately too.
Are you also using oils for your skin? What is your skincare routine?

This was the exact question I asked in a recent post. I have been wanting to try out facial oils since a long time. But since I have oily skin, I don't know what oil based products would do to my skin. What has your experience been like with Moringa oil and what's your skin type? How exactly do you use this product? And what's water therapy?

I haven't started using Moringa oil yet. As to my skin, I just get pimples under my chin. My skin was more oily when I was a teenager. About water therapy, I just keep on drinking more water to keep my skin moisturized.

@Curlybobby Yes, I know it helps. Aside from water, eating fruits is good too. But in my case, I am not fond of eating fruits so I am looking for other ways to take good care of my skin.

@Bluerain25 I see. I guess that is because you get very busy with your work. Am I right?

Yes, it is. I will try if it will be effective for my skin. Have you tried other products for your skin?

@hereandthere I have received suggestions that unscented soap is good but I could not see any unscented soaps in the market.

I have a moringa oil as well. But don't know were my mom bought it and it had some endorsement pictures of two politicians. I've only used it recently because of my back pain and few days ago because of some strange allergic reaction.

Was your back pain removed? What happened to your allergies?

It is good that you can visit a parlor monthly. What type of skin do you have? I have an oily skin when I was a teenager and I usually get many pimples. I just used a soap to control it but that was not much effective.

My skin care routine is generally washing my face with a mild soap in the morning and I apply a moisturizing sun block. After this, if my skin is particularly dull, I add a touch of set compact powder. Otherwise, I leave my skin just like that. I clean my face at the end of the day and wash it again. That's pretty much all I do. I however use home made natural face packs pretty often! :)

They said that applying a mild soap is the best for our face. But when I was a teenager, I really get into trouble because of having too many pimples that I really do not know what to do with them. And then one of my classmates told me about Dr. Kaufmann soap that was advised for her pimples to be minimized. I tried it and I saw changes. However, the side effect was that it somehow made my face dry.

@Curlybobby True! At present I do not have much pimples but sad to say, those pimples I had in the past left scars in my face which I hope is still possible to be removed.

@annierose That's a pretty common side effect. A lot of products that address acne problems could have high doses of acidic or basic contents, both of which can dry the skin out. Chemicals like salycilic acid or sodium laureth sulfate are very drying

I am not really aware of oils that can be used for skin care. I just get curious about it because I stumbled on a post that mentioned about Moringa.

I have to admit my skincare routine isn't very good. I wash my face and use moisturizer but that's it.

Before I just use water and soap for my face. No moisturizer at all. But then I have noticed that the part of my eyes already have wrinkles. I think it is always the part of my face which is stress the most.
