Why your package tagged as delivered even if you didn't receive the package??

It's annoying that most of the carrier nowadays tagged our package as delivered but no one comes to our addrress to deliver it! It's so very frustrating specially we really need the package to be delivered! Usually the package was tagged delivered but we still need to wait until tomorrow, because there are times that our package will be delivered after couple of minutes or hours.
