Another Question For Former Persona Paper Members

On January 30, 2016, the site owners for Persona Paper announced “The Final Nail”, i.e. they closed their doors, etc. etc. etc. I know some people were not there for the money, small change as it was. They simply enjoyed the social aspect. However … in the last post by the site owner, he made it plain that the site would be running for a while and that he would “post later about the time-frame for shutting down.” Which, according to my interpretation means they will be shutting down. Yes? Right? It's really none of my business what other people do with their life. But as this site no longer pays, yet it is still up and running, my curiosity is peaked as to why people would continue publishing short posts at this site IF it's shutting down! I visit the site because my content is being removed slowly. It has been months since the announcement but there are posts dated after the Shut Down Notice. What am I missing? Can anyone enlighten me? What's the logic? * I'm sort of thinking out loud on this one. Not sure anybody here has the answer. But if you do know, please satisfy my curiosity.
I have a question for former members of PersonaPaper.com. I stopped signing in and commenting back at the end of January 2016 when they made the announcement...

I suppose that they think someone may still read their posts - they are obviously not worried about earnings.

Just did a quick perusal and the posts are worth reading. That's why it struck me odd and why I was wondering why they posted them at a site was going to shut down. I didn't bother leaving comments because ... why should I if the site is going to shut down? You follow me? But like @msiduri said, some friends are talking to their friends through the site, so that could be it.

@cmoneyspinner It was the same for me when Bubblews was obviously in trouble - I kept on posting and interacting because I had a lot of friends there.

If I am not mistaken, some of those still posting on the site made a comment to the administrators that they hoped that if the site still stayed up that one day something could happen where the site would figure something out to start paying again, (like what happened to this site).

Oh I see. That would take a lot of hope and faith for me to keep on posting. But like you said “this site bounced back”. Maybe Persona Paper will make a come back too! Guess by saying the site will be “shutting down”, the Admin folks didn't want to have members hanging around when they could be somewhere else making money. If they could get the site going again like myLot did, that would be fantastic!

@cmoneyspinner It would be great if it could come back , like this site.

I no longer post there and, like you, I'm slowly removing and (presumably) re-purposing some posts, but I also respond to the posts of other people there. I'm just talking with friends.

I get that! Friends don't have a monetary value. But most of my PersonaPaper friends are elsewhere and I can socialize with them at other networks.

I read here that this site (PP) is closing down, is it true?

I waited 2 months to receive final word regarding payment and they couldn't be bothered to announce no more funds. I deleted all articles there. I am much happier here at myLot.

I am very happy here at myLot. The timing for getting this site up and running again was perfect!

I tell you what. Out of all the online writing communities, Persona Paper was the most addictive. For the simple reason, people always gave me feedback on everything that I wrote. Everything! Not one of my posts was ever without a comment or comments. That made me feel really good. So many of my blog posts are just me, myself and I. With Persona Paper it felt awesome to hear "voices" that were not in my head. It got so that whenever I wrote a post I would anxiously anticipate comments forthcoming. I never worried about getting comments. I knew I'd always have feedback. It's a shame that site couldn't survive. It was one of the nicest communities I had ever been in. Fortunately, myLot is a fabulous replacement! I'm here because somebody on PersonaPaper was kind enough to point me in the right direction.

They're still open? I left 'cause I figured what would be the point of posting. Not a clue what the logic is.

I am a member there but I did not visit again after they made that announcement. But I haven't removed my posts from there too. It is really questionable why they continue to run in spite of that announcement.
