So Mark Cuban wants to be Vice President...

Canada

As a Canadian I watch American politics with morbid fascination especially this go round. Today this bit of news caught me completely off guard. Mark Cuban says he's open to running for vice president alongside either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. What!? Could someone explain this to me because this makes no sense to my mind. I'm assuming he's counting Bernie Sanders out or he might have included him in the mix too. Why not? This guy could end up vice president whatever side you're thinking of voting for and just a heartbeat away from the presidency itself. Is there some kind of weird conspiracy going on or is this just something to keep the American media busy?

He seems like one of the decent billionaires, but at the same time would do hardly anything for the poor because has to stick to what made him wealthy.

I can even see the potential for him doing some actual good but at the same time the political side of it all doesn't make sense to me.

@koopharper I agree social stuff like racism and people in prison, but to me that stuff is really easy. Do right by the poor and 90 percent of your problems go away. Another 25 percent might be added from rich and the middle class complaining, but most of them are to cowardly to start violence in the streets, That would also go away because people would see it is working.

@crossbones27 Do right by the poor is something that is needed both in your country and in mine. I count myself a poor so I am just a little biased in that direction.

I'm not American either. I just don't get how someone can be supportive of both sides of a political debate in this way.

@koopharper Yes,I did find it amusing that he just wanted to be vice-president no matter who becomes president.

@silvermist I'm sure there are wonderful things he could do for his country as vice president but it does beg the question as to where he stands on the issues.

And if it isn't interesting, the media will find a way to make it interesting.

Not very serious.

No I don't think this is very serious. I get the impression that the media asked him a whole bunch of dumb questions, he gave some answers and they decided to make a headline story out of it.

I am not yet up-to-date on the progress of the coming elections in the U.S. But I heard a lot about Donald Trump and how people reacted on him; also Hillary Clinton. May the best candidate win. Am not American but have lots of relatives and friends there.

In Canada especially if we happen to have a lot of American friends, we have no choice but to hear about.

I love it! this whole thing has been such a joke so far, why not? I personally think anything might be better than the politicians we have to deal with anyway.
