Each Natural Mineral Water has a unique mineral content dependent on the geological characteristics of the catchment area. taken from http://www.highlandspring.co.uk/about_water_natural.asp Which implies that both chemical and microbiological qualities are subject to the geological area the water comes from. Since all water has contact at some point with the ground, it naturally would take on some of the properties of that particular ground, be it iron, zinc or bacteria such as e coli. As to whether it is better for one's health, I'll leave that debate up to those who have a firm belief one way or the other.
