Most of the time when I am feeling sick I still report to the office because I don't want any backlog on my work. Almost everybody tells me to go on sick leave, but I don't want to. But one day, one of my office mate told me bluntly, that is why, even if they are very sick they don't want to go on sick leave because they are ashamed to do so, because I myself won't go on leave. So I told them that nobody holds them not to go on sick leave, we have different reasons why not to. Am I too indifferent?

Hi, ma'am Nita! First of all, get well soon!
Anyway, I am working in a busy environment. I do sometimes feel ill especially when there are sudden change in the weather. However, I also don't like to apply for a sick leave because I don't want to be absent especially on busy days. There are things at work that only I can handle. I don't trust others that they can do my work...

depends on how you were brought up.. i have been more than 20 years in my company and still go to work even if i am sick.
i only take a leave when i am too ill even to drive
