Philips USB toothbrush

One of the aspects that I adore about my Philips DiamondClean Sonic toothbrush is that it comes with a dedicated USB charger wire and for a visit to India, it means a universal charger without having to worry too much about voltage changing. Unbelievably for a Dutch company like Philips who have been making portable men’s shavers for a lot longer than electric toothbrushes, none of their European models appear to have a likewise USB slot or charge cable. I find this really weird. For starters the addition of a USB cord in my opinion would allow owners to take shavers with them virtually anywhere provided that they have a USB cord and power supply. The USB addition would avoid and eliminate travel adaptors for different countries, too. I have already emailed Philips regarding this but they have responded with a “Sorry we don’t make one” response. We are in an age of technology where USB is taking over from power cords - its about time Philips got in on the act. (c)Nar2/crystalvisions2016.

My philips sonicare has an annoying bathroom plug that needs an adapter to use it in a normal socket.

Which is precisely the reason to why I saved up for the Philips DiamondClean brush. Uses a neat induction glass charger with a cradle and 2 pin plug at the end OR use the travel case with the USB cord plugged in,.
