No-one says it better than Ricky Martin!!
Loving the new following of Wendy @Drosophilia - which is the name for a FLY . . (why that name Wendy?) I cam upon her beautiful profile picture which is that of a ruin somewhere in Ireland I am sure.
I have been there and the country side is full of beautiful ruins to marvel at.
Anyway, Wendy asked what do we do when we are not mylotting?
Well my answer to that was "Living the vida Loca" which if translated to the required English is : "the crazy life."
I visit friends, I play lawn bowls, I sew, I do melodrama's (which i need to get the DVD of) and I visit my grandchildren and my children. I travel - I love to travel and I take thousands of photos.
Tonight I am going to give you another beautiful one of the flower month - August from the Namaqualand.

She's alright is Wendy (@Drosophila) . I suspect her name derived from her initial reason for being here (fly on the wall) but maybe she can confirm/deny that.
I once played the part of an aged grandparent in a melodrama at school. If memory serves my only line was "But the baby's got pneumonia" which was uttered in a melodramatic (obviously) fashion every time my family were threatened with being thrown out of our house onto the snow-covered streets.

@Inlemay - Great photo, that one. I wish that I had owned a camera when I was a youngster, for at that time I lived near the shore. Lots of pix to have been made back then. Two of my schoolmates lived aboard a "Chinese Junk" tied up to a wharf - dragon's head up front and two great big eyes painted on the hull. There was also a flotilla of Norwegian patrol boats close by. We used to sit on the beach and watch the huge PanAmerican Airlines "Clipper Ship" airplanes take off and land in the sound - spray way up over them each time. All that kind of stuff would have made for great pix. Tough luck, right?
We used to get the pants scared off of us when we were told of the Nazi submarines skulking around in the nearby waters. I think that the adults back then used to try to keep us scared so that we would behave ourselves a little better.
The photo is from NASA of a Pan American Airways "Clipper" airliner of the type we used to see taking off and landing on the waters of the Sound.
