Top 10 Favorite James Bond Theme Songs #1 - "Goldfinger"

Here we are at #1 in my Top 10 Favorite James Bond Theme Songs series. We go back to 1964 for Goldfinger, the third Bond film. Welsh singer Shirley Bassey did the vocals for "Goldfinger," the first of three Bond theme songs performed by her. Bassey is a recipient of the DBE (Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire,) and a Grammy nominee. "Goldfinger" was a hit with the record buying public: the song charted at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #21 in the UK. In 2008, "Goldfinger" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. "Goldfinger" is a classic Bond theme, and as far as I'm concerned, the best of the lot.

Shirley does have a great voice. When they got Adele to do" Skyfall," they wanted her to bring back Bassey's style.

I knew it! I knew it was going to be Goldfinger. You aren't alone. Goldfinger is consensus opinion the greatest Bond song and one true classic.
