East of Eden by John Steinbeck

I just finished reading this book and wanted to pick your brains. Have you ever read this book? Considered an American classic, basically about a family and their secrets and life. Its so crazy how Steinbeck seems to get into the minds of the Trask family, even the villanous characters.
I cant say I enjoyed it quite as much as Grapes of Wrath or Of Mice and Men but it was pretty good.
Have you ever read this book? Or any others by Steinbeck? What did you think?

Haven't read this book by John Steinbeck. 'Of Mice and Men' was what I read for a book report in junior high. Perhaps, I should read this as well.

I have read East of Eden, The Grapes of Wrath and others by Steinbeck. I have been to the Steinbeck Center in Salinas, California.
