Does a teenager still have to listen to her parents after she has had a child? doesn't it mean when a teenager has a child that they are then considered an adult and not a child anymore???

If a teenager still lives under their parents roof and has a child but is fully supported by his or her parents, then yes they have to listen to their paretns. Until they are gorwn up enough to live on their own and support their child, they are stuck listening to their parents.

Maturity does not come to a person just because one delivers the child. It is always better to listen to the elders who advise out of their experience.

Regardless of the baby, I imagine that we are talking about a minor (under 18) child living at home with her parents. No, by law she is still seen as a minor and subject to the rules set forth by her parents. This is especially true if she is still living under her mother's roof.

It all depends. Does this teenager still live at home? Not all teenagers in my mind are adults. It all depends on how mature they are in there thinking...

If your child is still living at home and being supported by you..yes..your rules should be abided. She is still a child, but now she also has one. So you must also treat her with some respect to being an adult herself. She is giving up her teenage years to be a parent. Now she knows it's not all fun and games and how demanding a baby is. I would sit down with her and work out a compromise..what is expected of her and what are her new responsibilities and let her have a one or two adult privilages. You want her to be a good parent..and she needs a little breathing room to do so. Most of the teen moms I have worked with start out as pains..but after a year or so..they get the big picture.
