2000 AD – 1995-1996 – Spoiler alerts The pit is where Megacity One’s worst Judges are sent, a beat for the cops who are not very good at their job. Judge Dredd is sent there to offer training and evaluation and to see if any of them deserve a second chance. Though he finds some incompetent inept judge-cops, he finds most of them are quite good police officers trapped there by police corruption. With assistance from misfit cops who prove themselves highly worthy, Dredd helps bring down the judges responsible for serious corruption. Sadly, his investigations also lead to the exposure of two cops who are having a forbidden love affair together. While Dredd feels sympathy for them, the law is the law. A well- handled interconnected thread of different story strands. Arthur Chappell

It sounds like this might be an interesting story with cops and judges and all that kind of thing.
