Timing - Delaying My MBA

One of the things that I am planning to do is to take my MBA. After the painful and tedious process of getting my Philippine bachelor’s degree evaluated and translated to its US equivalent, I plan to do either of the two: take the State CPA Board Exam (since the US and Philippines do not have reciprocity – my CPA license is not recognizable here), or take my MBA. But since the divorce left me with limited funds, I have to postpone my plans.
Then I learned that my work can pay for my schooling. I started to communicate with the university to initiate my enrolment, but then I found out that I haven’t been working here long enough to qualify for the educational assistance program. So I have to let my advisor know that I have to postpone my enrolment later this year when I already have enough tenure. I know I will not be able to afford the tuition all by myself. And since I know that having my MBA will be a win-win situation for me and the company, I will have to wait for a while and take my time. It wouldn’t be long, and hopefully, executive management will approve my application.
For now, I will concentrate on my job and make sure that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.

@Raine38 You are welcome, Ms. Raine. I have to say good night to sleep early and wake up early for mass tomorrow. Enjoy your day (I know it's daytime at your end now).

@Raine38 did you choose a school that's nearby? will your classes be weekends?

@hereandthere Unfortunately, my school is 4 hours away from where I live. I have to take classes online and qualify their accelerated classes since I am a full-time working student. I am glad though that the university and our HR were able to agree on classes and credits.

It is sad, but I assure you I will be far off better than staying. Maybe I will make a separate post on that, not for sympathies or pity, but to share that even the darkest of times have their own silver lining.
Thanks, and good luck to your brother as well!
