Blogging for Money

I used to blog about my experience, but when life pulled me in a different direction, I can no longer keep writing in that blog because the experience for which the platform of my blog was created is no longer there. I have no other choice but to pull the plug on that one. When I still have that blog, I noticed that I am getting quite a few visitors. After I have about more than a hundred visitors in my blog, I decided to turn it into an income generating one. I signed up for Google ads, banners and even pay per click sites. Unfortunately, I never generated enough readers and visitors to actually earn anything.
But nevertheless, I was happy blogging because it was never really my intention to get income from blogging. Until a few months ago, I came across an old friend who used to run a “franchise” of a blog. I used to submit articles to her and each published article gets me $5. It was fun and a very fruitful experience. I decided to donate all the money from it to a charitable institution which sends orphans and homeless kids to school. I always select the committee which makes sure that the kids get the right and enough school supplies. Then life happened and we have to part ways and she end up resigning from handling the blog.
Now, she told me that the other “franchise” is looking for new contributors. Since I already have experience working with them, she said that I have a great chance of being accepted. So I thought I will give it a try. And true enough, they immediately signed me up.
They still give me the same rate - $5 for every published article. And I can write as many as I want as long as it’s within their policies. I also let them know that between my full-time job and graduate school, I will be able to send my submissions erratically. And I am glad that they agreed not to impose any deadlines on me.
I really missed blogging. And I am thankful that I am given another shot to blog. Maybe I will even put up a personal blog someday. We’ll see.

@AkoPinay Looks like you are so experienced on this matter. I don't. So, Wordpress.org is the best platform. My daughter, who is a graduate of Computer Science and now working in OIL and Gas Industry, promised me to make a web . . but she's so busy at work. Thanks for the info.

@antonbunot computer science is more on computer not web designing
I studied web designing but it's not enough or not really important because there are ready-to-use templates. What we need is to master Writing SEO Articles (800-1,000 or more words) and Online or Content Marketing (Social Media presence).
Write HOW TO's (how to be a successful father for example hehe I mean painter
)
