How to persuade yourself to sleep early?

I am a kind of person who always sleep late in the night. I know this is not good for my health. But it's really so hard for me to put my smart phone down and close my eyes. So every night I just lie down on my bed and fiddle with my phone which is like a small window in the darkness, and what inside the window is a fantastic world, attracting me so much that I can't persuade myself to sleep early. Do you have familiar confusion? and how do you deal with it?

I have a hard time sleeping at night too. I always resort to using my phone. Now, I limit myself with a set time I have to sleep by and go to sleep.

@transcendent It is for me too. And then the next morning I regret not sleeping earlier because I'd wake up tired.

I must be in bed at 8PM and not later because I wake up early too at 4AM.

@transcendent 4AM is already the beginning of another hot day here, so I want to wake up that early to be refreshed after a morning bath

I have the same problem like you. In fact I just have my own spare time at night. And the time goes by so quickly and soon it is to the midnight. This is why I hardly go to sleep early, unless at that time I am sick

It's the mobile phone that keep me sleepless, especially at school dormitory. But the situation has got much better.

I also go to sleep very late (usually about 4am), but that is no problem because I can get up when I like, often 10/11am. As long as you get enough sleep it doesn't matter when you get it.

Try to put your handy phone farther from you.That is just disciplining yourself, and soon you can have that habit of sleeping early.

Perhaps reading a book or getting yourself really tired at night you would be able to sleep. I was once like in your situation sleeping late at night but I did something different I set the time I would sleep for example 11:30 p.m. Then I just relax my mind listening to soft relaxing instrumental music. Basically doing it over and over again every night becomes easy then you fall asleep like a baby.
