Got the monitor working for my computer

I got a new wire for my computer tonight for $6 at Walmart. With this wire I connected a small tv we have to my computer to use it as a computer monitor.
This saves me over $100 on having to buy a new monitor. I am so happy to be able to be on my computer again. I cannot stand going more then a few days without it.
It has been a really long exhausting day. I am very emotional right now. I am waiting for my children to get done with their showers so I can take mine and then I will be going to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I will get caught up on here and and crowdtap as I haven't been on there in over a week.

You are using a small tv for you monitor? That is totally cool, I wonder if I could hook my computer up to a huge TV we have (big enough we don't have room for it, lol) My husband doesn't like watching movies on the computer, he says the screen is too small, but I am sure he would watch if I could hook it up to a tv.

@shaggin I'll have to check that, but what I find interesting is, if it is because of the size, he had a battery powered tv for camping that was much smaller than my monitor.. lol

The monitor isn't new just the cord. So it saved me a lot of money which is awesome. The problem I am finding though is that the color is very off. When I edit pictures all the time that will effect things so I might get a new monitor soon anyway and save this one for a back up in case it breaks.

The colors are very off on this television. I will not be able to edit photos with true color on this so I will need to get a new one. At least for now I have been able to use my computer with this. I just will have to wait to edit photos until I get a new monitor.
