What can I do about CLIMATE CHANGE?

As an individual what can I do or stop doing
Cashless is good because not using paper money is going to save some trees.
Cloth diapers is a good thing because they can be used over and over although, the soap suds do end up in the water supply and so on but not a lot more than usual as we can get the diaper cleaning service to pick up the dirties and drop off the cleanies.
Drive less, walk more.
Buy shoes but don't collect them. You don't need 1000 pair of designer shoes!
What can I do? And what can we all do about CLIMATE CHANGE?
I think if we don't drive as much we can save the environment and by not buying things that come in non-biodegradable packages.
For information about bio-degradables go to the link provided in this discussion:

as an individual what can i do is to segregate my trash in non-biodegradable and biogradable, if possible not to use stryro foams and plastics. we can do recycles. i hope our country encourage them to use bycycle for transportation rather than car/motorcycle

It is best to do if you are capable, able bodied and healthy. It will keep you healthy to ride a bike and walk so I think this is a funtastic way to get around.

@stephjoy , Yes. The main thing is, if you are willing to sacrifice the easy way of traveling you will not only gain in saving money but gain in better physical health and help out by keeping the air cleaner. Every little thing each of us can do added up together makes a big difference for the good of all of us.

This is the 'think globally and act locally' kind of thing. I don't own a car and walk, bike or use public transport. By doing my little bit locally, along with everyone else, then we can help the world
PS. Very hard not to sound preachy about this!

You have a right to feel proud of your accomplishments. Most people just don't even give it any thought and that is the saddest thing.

I think planting seelings is great. I have 6 little baby pin oak trees that I hope to raise to the point I can sell them to people who want to grow an oak tree in their yard. But I don't know how much luck I am having so far. I once had over 200 baby oaks in the flower beds and gardens after winter was over and spring took over. The local squirrels want to make our back yard into a forest.
