What a final, more than 400 runs scored, great batting display from both the sides, but ultimately last 3 overs from both sides made the difference and SRH win the final by 8 runs. RCB who had been on winning spree in last 7 matches , had finally law of averages working against them and they had to taste the defeat in the finals. Now there were lot of key moments in the match but I feel Ben Cutting getting 40 odd runs in last 2 overs was the crucial most part of the match. Gayle came to the party today and made a blistering 76 off 38. At one point RCB was cruising to victory with 112 on the board in 10 over with with 10 wickets in hand. It was a perfect platform laid for the likes of AB Deviiliars and Watson to follow. But then SRH slowly seeped into RCB side and got Gayle, ABD , Virat and Watson out in quick successions. This is what happens when a team relies solely on superstars and then when they needed 51 off 30 balls , there was no one to take them home. RCB were so used to Kohli or ABD finishing off matches for them, that today when they encountered a situation with none of them to sail the team through, they fell flat and ofcourse, there was some brilliant death bowling from Mustafizur and Bhuvi. It was disappointing for RCB and its fans as they were clear favorites as their batting was most dangerous and they even started chasing 209 as if they will finish off the match 2 overs in spare, but cricket is funny game and in finals nothing can be taken for granted. Congratulations to David Warner for his inspirational leadership and the entire SRH team. Hard luck to Kohli and RCB and better luck next year. I hope RCB finds one genuine bowler instead of not so useful allrounders and their over reliance on Kohli and ABD should reduce and the entire team takes the responsibility.
