Should caves be created for bears?

Alipore Zoo has separate enclosure for brown bears. The zoo authorities had created artificial caves for the bears. One of the reasons why the caves are being created is because in the summer months it is warm and may be the bears want shade ad darkness. The winter months are pleasant for them. There are a lot of trees around their enclosure. In Kolkata, Alipore Zoo is one of the greatest attractions.
