The oil should not be used more as it will not be absorbed in soon. For better results 3 or 4 coats are needed. Standard Linseed It takes 3 days at least for a single coat to get into. But, boiled linseed oil takes only a day to dry. But, these are not suitable for outdoor wood. Th.is has to be applied with a cloth.After application rub the surface with a cloth. Mineral Oil: Where the surfaces of the wood require non-toxic finish this oil is quite pretty useful. This is an effective laxative which can be purchased at any local stores. Tung Oil: This is the finish natural finish for wood. This oil requires wet-on-wet brushing method.After each application you need the sand the surface. Amateur finds difficult to apply. The drying time is 2-3 days. per coat.
