Is Technology today is Good Or Bad?

I would like to qualify this topic. Technology is a great invention dont get me wrong, but its only going to progress more and more and one day everything we have come to know will be some sort of technology. There wont be anymore landlines, no more pencil and paper, no more of the things we all grew up with. Personally, i wouldnt want to live in a world like that. The socialization will go down, kids being kids wont happen anymore because all of their toys will have some sort of ipad or touch screen on it and much more.

Not that long ago though it seems like a long time ago it was silly to think of using a gas powered carriage rather than owning a horse. There were pros and cons to that too.

I think it has gone too far. I like computers as a tool for research. And I don't mind being able to communicate with people quickly. But I worry it takes away from face to face communication in adults. And in children, they are robbed of the best way to learn, which is by DOING.

children nowadays never experience how to play outside because they're too busy facing their gadgets and the social media. It's really sad.

Technology is neither good nor bad, it is how it is used. A knife can help us cut meat and make delicious but at the same time it can be used as a weapon. A smartphone can be used to simplify our lives with all its utilities but it can also prevent you from communicating with your friends and loved ones. Yeah, the things we own end up owning us.

I agree with you. I think the world is heading in the wrong direction when it comes to all this technology. Everything will be out there in cyberspace and hackers will find a way to access it. While I enjoy some of the technology, I fear that the security is not what it should be, considering that there are those who will take advantage of it for stealing private information. The other thing to think about is if the GRID that supports all this technology crashes, then what?

Technology is a good thing, yes. It just depends on how we use them if it's "good" or "bad".
