Presumptive President Rodrigo Duterte was voted by more than 16 million voters of the Philippines. He won with a wide margin because they wanted him to lead the country. And winning is showing to the people their gratitude because they won. But he is no show to the proclamation that the Filipino who voted him wanted to witness. He said he prefers to work in his home province of Davao. Just an alibi, I guess. With just a little fulfillment of the people who trusted him and see his hands raised was all dismayed. He should have show some respect to the people who voted for him.

It's just a proclamation. He was voted by the People to be president and even chosen and urged to run. Let's wait and see how he performs as the leader Thats the most important thing and not a mere proclamation celebration that is more of a show off than a performance.

@ilocosboy i just broaden my mind over a lot of things. Closing one's mind won't get you nowhere but annoyance over nothing. Like I said what's important is his performance. I am a person who doesn't like attending ceremonies like that one coz that's not important to me. What's important is action and I don't like to show off during a celebration.

I don't care whether he appears or not. It's just a proclamation! What matters to me is whether he will perform or not. So I will wait after 6 months for that.

or maybe he just don't want to come to Manila because he feels its not his home

I have never heard of a Head of State not showing up for his/her inauguration. Very odd behavior. Perhaps he's a 'loner' and wants nothing to do with being 'glorified'.
