Gender equality

Gender equality is a biggest concern. We want mother, girlfriend, wife and sisters but not a daughter. Its a shame that in some parts female child is still considered as a curse. I was infact surprised to see online that the issue is spread worldwide. We all protest, there are laws which support girl child but still!!!!!

First of all law alone simply can not put a stop to it... awareness programmes and some other tools must be usef to change the mentality of people...

Does it still exist? All I know some countries, they don't value much about having girls in the family. But then, it had changes it's notions through the years.
