Animal testing

It is very common worldwide that medicines or cosmetics are tested on animals. Is it ethically right? Animals are also have life, just like us. They also feel pain, only because we dont understand their language of communication, we play with their life. Further, I had read it somewhere, instead of testing on animals, why we do not test on criminals? We would get better understanding. Thats very debatable thought, but a very much valid point too.

So you are endorsing that medicines and cosmetics should be tested on criminals and not animals ...right ?

Its a debatable topic but I am inclined towards testing it on criminals, like rapists and terrorists.

The scientists need to test somehow. I think as long as no animal or human are hurt they can go on testing else they may not have a good product..

Yes, but at the cost of live animals? Is it always necessary? Cant we have an alternative? I dont know what but Animal testing is cruel thing
