If anyone writes one chapter of Book, why should he not get royalty?

There are many books written by 20 to 30 different authors. Ultimately one editor edits the book. When the book is published, the publisher pays royalty to only the editor. this is unfair. The individual writers who had written 1 or 2 chapters in the book should also be paid. It is very unfair.
