Valley Reunion

This Saturday we will have our yearly valley reunion in the park. People will attend who grew up in the valley. I must get busy cooking tomorrow. I thought about starting today, but now it's getting late and I'm tired. I usually take a cake, pie, vegetables and sweet tea. We always have more than we can eat, and as well as we like to eat, it's just too much. But we like to see the tables covered with food. We have one table for meats and drinks, one table for vegetables and another table for desserts. At the end of the day we find ourselves bringing home bowls of food. And that's okay with me. I love left overs and no cooking for a day. I will see my four sisters and brother, not so many of the younger generation attends, but my granddaughter and her boyfriend might be there if nothing turns up they like better. Which reminds me, I must call my grandson, he knows about the occasion but he's likely forgotten. One of my sons plans to go, if he doesn't have something more important to do. Cross your fingers it doesn't rain Saturday. Our picnic shelter wont keep much rain out.

That's so true, not many young people attend, although I just talked to my grandson and he will be there, also my granddaughter.

I take a picnic chest to keep things cool that need to be kept cool. That doesn't include my chocolate cake.

That's lovely Ruby. A potluck is so much fun and food. I wish you good weather and that the whole family decides to make it to this reunion. They will have nothing better to do I am praying because this happens to be the best thing to do. Family and friends should be one's priority. Give us a snap of the reunion Ruby

Thank you. It's great fun. I will make pictures, but the only picture I can get on Mylot is my profile picture and it isn't the one I wanted, it was the only picture that would submit.
