From September through May the one local church has done a kids night out event every other Friday night. Tonight they had their last one. It was Mission Impossible theme. The "agents" did an amazing job with planning this theme. My son was so awful and cried the entire time we were at Walmart because he wanted to go home and play his video game. He didn't want to go to kids night out and thought it would be boring. Well I'm happy to say my niece, my daughter and my son had an awesome time at this event! They gave each kid a glow stick necklace and a small flashlight. They played flashlight tag which the kids had a blast with. There was 11 kids and only one little 5 year old got scared in the dark. They had a really funny way for the kids to learn their verse by saying it in all different silly voices. The idea being learning through repetition. They had snack time which was a large assortment of yummy sweets. The one guy who runs the events created his own short mission impossible video for them to watch then he divided the kids into groups and gave them a map of the building. The downstairs was set up with obstacles and the kids had to get through them without getting caught by the flashlight beams people were shining. In the end they had keys they found and one unlocked a door where a guy was chained up inside to a chair. It was a lot of fun. It was from 6:30 to 9 pm. After showers I am finally getting to bed I'm beat and have a very busy day tomorrow.

@shaggin The person who organized this definitely knew how to get the kids interested.

There was 11 kids there which was really nice to see. Last time we went my daughter and son and my niece were the only kids there besides the coordinators son. It was so boring they did not want to go back. It isn't as fun when no one comes but there really wasn't anything the church could do to get more people to come. They tried passing out signs and posting on facebook but just no one showed up. I am glad more kids came to this kids night out ending night.

My son was so mad not wanting to go but I am glad that I made him to with me and my niece and daughter as he wound up loving it which I thought he would. He was just being a grump.
