In every country, they do celebrate their own festivity. Even in my country, every province has their own way of celebrating their festival and also plays traditional games. In some point, China has its own share of having traditional Dragon Boat Festival and usually celebrated on the fifth of the lunar calendar. The strangest thing I’ve heard is that they do have a game. The simplest mechanic of the game is to make an egg stand on its end at exactly 12:00 noon. Based on their belief, it brings good luck for the coming year if successfully making the egg stood up on the ground.

@ridingbet That's difficult to find. The game itself is challenging and looking for a flat-ended egg is also more challenging.lol

On the coming calendar, 9th June 2016 is the Chinese dragon festival to remember a great scholar who jump in the river on the 5th of the 5th month of Chinese calendar at 12 noon. This festival is for Him then
Older believe on this day at sharp 12 noon , they collect the water from the river for medical uses. They also make sticky rice wrap in bamboo leaves.

@Marcyaz It is also my first time to know the egg game in China. In my country, game varies from one province to another.
Let me share this traditional game in the province. The participants will climb a bamboo pole to get the prize on top.
A big family birthday party that took quite a bit of organising, the last game of the day was one of the simplest and funniest games I have ever seen.

Right now, it's "fiesta" in my parents' place in Batangas. And aside form the usual "alay" and "Santa Cruzan", it is basically like a reason for family reunions. I have never heard of that egg game before. But I think if you will use a boiled egg, it might be possible.

Hmmm, these Chinese people are very fond of luck and it is so funny that they still had to go through some weird ways sometimes just to get this luck.
