Who is more dear, mother or father?

I all along my wife loved both my mother and father.
My father expired 5 years ago. My mother is the person I am attached the most presently.
While learned domestic things like art, craft, cooking, gardening, household work from mother, I learned my lawyering skills, drafting, and other official work from my father.
I cannot compare between the two. Without both of them I would have been a failure.
Fathers and mothers are equally important in the life of children.

Both are dear to me. But u know this cliche' about mothers closer to their sons while fathers are closer to daughters; well this doesnt always apply in every family. As a little boy, i was to closer to mum, but growing up, i grew closer to Dad. Mum is still close to me anyway.

Thanks Benny for the comments. It is great to know your experience with your parents. Yes, both are important in everyone's lives.

Both my parents are both equally important in my life. I spent most of my childhood with my dad and it made me miss my mom more. Dad showered me with affection, mom disciplined me and showed me how to handle life.
