It's better to be over prepared and expect the worst but be hopeful for the best.
The Dog Days of Summer are on the way.
I was told this by a wise old man from the great white north.
I expect the temperatures to rise and by July the triple digits will arrive on time like a Fedex plane bound to Dallas from China Express.
I don't know much about global warming but since 1963, when we arrived on this heat island called The City with No Limits aka the city with the highest crime rate and the heat island of the great southwest.
DALLAS
Getting ready for the hot dog days of summer starts with planning ahead with supplies, such as bottled water, stored out of the light in a cool dark closet or covered with a blanket so as to keep it out of UV direct light. Plenty of sun screen, mosquito repellent. Also, moisturizing lotion, long cotton shirts, hats and sunglasses and a desire to be by a large body of fresh water.
Have you ever waited til the last minute to stock up on summer supplies? It's not a good thing. I will be looking into some sunblock, high UV blocker lotion, get a few of those fancy back yard umbrellas and some beach towels and tune up the compressor in the car a/c. what are your plans? move temporarily to Inuvik, Northwest Territories?

If you do not have a/c you can try to have light clothing on and drink plenty of fluids. I would bring a quart container of iced water to keep by my work station just to stay hydrated. Bummer that you can't get a/c though.

@lookatdesktop I don´t like AC devises. I use light cotton clothes and drink plenty of water (not iced) and coffee. My food has more veggies and fruits.

You might need to look for one or two long and heavy duty extension cords just so you can place the fans anywhere with no problems.

My family lived close to Fort Worth when I was young. We stocked up on all the supplies, but I don't think anything could mentally prepare me for the Texas summer. I remember going to lots of outdoor things like rodeos and festivals and thinking it was a bit Hades-like. That was before I got acclimated, though.
