Rondalla Players, Getting Ready

Have you ever watched rondalla musical concert. Rondalla in the Philippines are group of musicians that are only using string musical instruments like guitars, bass, ukelele among others. But now, rondalla is lost music generation and only in the school are playing this. Schools are participating in the rondalla contest with the costume. During the height of rondalla, people would really come to amphitheater, village plaza, in the fiesta, and Christmas morning just to hear the soothes music.

yeah, just the keyword rondalla, though there is a bit difference in the sound in the recording and live but still amazing

I have never seen or heard of the Rondalla but it is good that the children are having a Rondalla contest. Only stringed musical instruments like ukelele, guitars and bass. Is the contest just for their school or is it against other schools as well?

supposedly not, because during the early times, rondalla is one of favorite musical gathering of the villagers during fiesta, special occasions among others. The players then are the older men and women who are masters of their own instrument. The blend make it so beautiful to listen, inspiring.
