I almost caught a frog / myLot

Here I am sitting on my porch when I see a little frog just relaxing on my water container. I tried to catch him to add to my collection of pets but he hopped away. Probably for the best because I don't think the ladies would put up with another "gross" pet. Lol

When I was a kid I never went to bed without catching a frog first. So I remember me and my nanny would search for them everywhere. I would then tie its one leg with a string and then brought it home. Every morning I would wake up excitedly to check on my froggy, but every morning i would be disappointed to see them gone. I was already an adult when I realised that every time i went to bed, my mom freed my froggy.

"Frog-fishing" is popular in the Philippines. Children in farm lands would tie an earthworm with a short length of string at the end of a bamboo pole. Rice paddies are the usual fishing grounds.
