Can you keep a secret?

According to studies, the average woman cannot keep a secret for longer than 47 hours.
Is it true?
While looking for the key the other day, i saw my first book of Sophie Kinsella, "Can you.keep a secret?"
It is a story of a young woman, who spilled her secrets (like she doesn't even know.what NATO stands for), to a complete stranger in an airplane, with her thoughts on airplane crash and death but just a turbulence.
With her story, i laugh at the idea of keeping my secrets.
Well, i have few.
Does my family know?
Does few.friends have an idea?
Or my.neighbors too.
I kept a lot, and for decades.
That is just.mine. Have.my own "privacy".
But what about others' secrets that i can considered "heard through a grapevine", i keep them, with the thoughts.of, just a rumor.
Making the secret really secret. Lol.
And by the way, don't believe that there is such thing.as secret wedding.

Yup, no such thing as secret wedding because even in a secret wedding, there should be witnesses.
Hahahah! Am I not an average woman because I can keep a secret up to 48 hours? Lol just kidding!

I guess if you are asked to keep a secret it could be taken seriously or maybe we don't want to share something private. Otherwise anything is game. ha ha

I've read the book too! I think it depends on the person, some people can keep their lips sealed and not bat an eye, others can barely hold it in. If you have seen the sitcom "The big bang theory" you will find Sheldon Coopers secret keeping dilemma in season 1 particularly amusing

I keep secrets very well many that people don't even know of. So if someone tells me to keep it I will even from my husband.

@Lucky15 hmm I don't know about confidante but I'm good at keeping things that's about it really. I don't like airing things out for the world to know. If some ones everyone to know they will say.

i wonder where they found those gals to come to such a conclusion? i've more secrets lurkin' 'round my brain than i care to e'en count, lol. that'f others 'long with many'f my own.
