Kids tend to enjoy hearing silly rhymes. This, being now the baseball season over here in the colonies, I would like to provide you with a silly rhyme centered on baseball. You certainly have my permission to use it with the little kiddies, your grandparents, school teachers, dogs, cats, and congress people - onto whomever you care to foist it. (Just like when someone used to tell it to us kids trying to wake up in the morning...) * * * * * * * * * * As I awoke this morning, I gazed upon the wall. The roaches and the spiders were having a game of ball. The score was 19-20. The roaches were ahead. The spiders hit a home run that knocked me out of bed. "Slide, Kelly, slide Casey's at the bat." Hinkama-Rinky-Hinkee-doo, and what do you think of that? (Author unknown) * * * * * * * * * * Image source: Pixabay dot com

I think...I'm extremely grateful that we don't have roaches and spiders in our house!!

@Genipher - Ms Genipher - A good thought, that one, but just consider waking up to a great baseball game played out on the wall. Hot time in the day ahead...

@Ceerios As long as they don't knock me out of bed, I might enjoy such a show!
