Starbucks is so overpriced, why won't they have waiters?

Starbucks is, at least for me, an overpriced coffee shop. But if they are willing to charge more for a coffee, and clients oblige, why won't they offer top service? Why won't they have waiters?

I agree they are much too expensive for me so I am not able to get it...ever. I am okay with making my own coffee at home.

It is expensive, I do stop there once in a great while. If people keep buying there then no need for waiters.

@queengreen0 There is a reason it is always packed, good coffee. Yeah DD is okay once in a while but I make my own coffee.

It's unnecessarily overpriced and always packed. I'll stick to my french vanilla iced coffee from DD! It's cheaper and it's a bigger cup.

I agree about them being overpriced. They won't have waiters because people pay for what they offer as it is. Why spend more to pay waiters when people stand in line for their overpriced goods as it is?

Why do people buy Starbucks? Too lazy to brew their own cop of Joe? And you can make your own "candy" coffees.

I like going out having a coffee and maybe writing down some notes. Just a change from home brew.

If people are willing to pay for it without the extra service, why offer the service of waiters? I am not a coffee drinker, but I have been in Starbucks before and went wow, this stuff is expensive.

Some coffee places are not special like the customers? Not a coffee drinker? What do you like when you go out? I'm addicted.

@Bluedoll I will drink water or once in a while I will drink cola, but I do not drink a lot of caffeine everyday.

I don't know how this situation in other countries, but in China I think Starbucks's coffee is so expensive. However, they seem to have a good business anyway. Perhaps people like to show off to buy coffee in Starbucks. It seems that they have a good taste for coffee

@JustBhem you just made me think of my last cup of coffee. There was something in it. After examining it looked like a small amount of paper. The size of hair but much shorter. I thought of cream but it didn't appear to be. Does make you wonder when it isn't yours.

@Bluedoll Yes. But I prefer making my own coffee. That way if it's not good I can make another one. lol

The answer is that it would be more cost efficient to keep their current system. Starbucks has built itself a brand by being different. If its serves coffee like any other diner then the power of the brand will be lost and they will lose money. Why would you even drink overpriced coffee when you can make one at home :)

Its good ,no doubt on that. But overpriced to the core..

What do you find good? The coffee or the place you go. I like coffee but a decent place to have it is good too. Really don't like that much what is in shopping centers.
