Day 83 Psalm 83 Psalm 83:1 < Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. 2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: 6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; 7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah. 9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: 12 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession. 13 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burns a wood, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire; 15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled forever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the Most High over all the earth. Have you ever felt like everyone was against you? Have you walked in a room and all conversation stopped or suddenly changed? It’s enough to put you on your guard, not knowing what will transpire next in your life. Asaph knew the plans of the Babylonians who laid siege to Jerusalem and took Judah captive. He knew it because they didn’t keep it quiet as they led them in to exile. Asaph constantly asked God to take care of their enemies, and let them know that nobody can come against God because God is the Most High God. As Christians, we also know the schemes of our enemy, Satan. We know his purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy everyone who calls on the name of Jesus and looks to him for their salvation. When we go to God asking for his help against all Satan’s schemes, when we stand our ground and will not allow Satan to have any control over our lives, then we will see Satan flee and all his schemes come to naught. You need to be aware of Satan’s schemes, and come against them at every turn. You must take control of your life with Jesus’ help, and you will see victories in your life you didn’t expect. Asaph knew who to turn to for help. He knew God was the only one who could help him against his enemies. God is the only one who can help us too. Let’s pray: Father, thank you for standing with me and taking care of all my enemies. Help me to seek you in times of trouble so that your name will be glorified. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I think our faith is most tested during hard times and during good times. In the former, we doubt God's presence, and in the later, we simply forget God

I used to feel the world was against me in the past when I was a child and then a teen ager. In the present, People do not represent any harm to me thanks to the trust I have placed in God.
